I like to laugh. That's my favourite thing. Oh, and singing (I sing with a choir) - well music generally. Oh, and I love to dance too (tango and salsa - yes, you'll be dragged along but only once if it's really painful for you)
I've decided to take up paddle boarding but I'm waiting until the kids go back to school before I embarrass myself in public
I have some lovely friends but everyone either has family commitments or they're just too far away for those spontaneous "hey, do you fancy doing x this weekend?" calls
Truth is, I just spend too much time doing things on my own when I should be filling every hour with 60 minutes with good company - after all, where's the joy in going to Paris if you can't nudge someone and say "oooh, look,Eiffel Tower" - everything is better shared (except chocolate - I'm a woman, after all)
I would like to have a friend who is my first call when I fancy going to the theatre, or the cinema, or the rugby, or for a walk, or to a pub quiz, or just to sit and watch the telly, or just someone who will say "there there" when I need to moan
And I'd like that person to think of me as their first call for all the above
I think I'm a glass half full sort of person generally (although I accept that sometimes life's glass is not only empty but dry as a bone)
