Where do you start when talking about yourself? I'm Heather. I retired early from a successful career in business and immediately did an MA in Shakespeare (why would anyone do that from a standing start?!). I am so pleased I did it - now I understand the words and not just the story!
Now I am enjoying exploring new things and starting hobbies that I never have time for before. I like variety so I go to the theatre a lot (at least once a week), do pilates, Nordic walk, volunteer and I have just started Ceroc lessons. I like history and events/ exhibitions. I have a small, all flower garden (hence, my handle). I know little about music but would like to and have just started going to some of the concerts in Cambridge. I have started travelling again (Japan, Paris, Ireland this year) and it is a joy.
I have a fabulous circle of friends and life is good but I think it would be even better if I found someone to share these things with and who will also share their interests with me. I would like to explore new things (and places) and build a solid foundation for a long term relationship - to have meaningful and trivial conversations, to laugh, to make memories, to sit on the sofa as well as be out.
I cannot overstate how much I love people - I am sociable and curious about them and always chat to everyone! I assume the best in all. But I am not a big party goer - a one-to-one conversation or small group is preferable. My friends who, of course, only say good things (!) say I am bright, kind, full of laughter, thoughtful, sincere.... There's a reason they are my friends :).

I don't expect - or want - anyone to enjoy everything I enjoy, but some would be a good start! However, your character and values are more important than your likes and hobbies.
You should still have the energy and curiosity to explore the world - whether to travel or find new activities and hobbies, and be able to have a relaxing evening on the sofa; to share laughs and serious chats. You must have integrity; be kind, respectful and intelligent. EQ and laughter go a long way.
I don't like game-playing, confrontation or an ungenerous spirit.
I am happy to share my hobbies and friendship groups (at the right time), but still need space for my girlfriends.
